This started out as a scary piece, but it ended up being focused on the relationship between a child and her mother. Life and death.
I'm as scared of the dark as anyone else, especially when it comes to ghosts in the darkness. But what if the darkness holds something you desire most? Maybe fear won't overcome love in this case. Maybe you'll accept the darkness no matter how horrific it may be in the eyes of others.
